Who We Are

Andrea Sherman, PhD.
co-founder

Andrea's professional career reflects a commitment to merging the creative and the healing arts. Her PhD in dance and gerontology presented her as leader in the emerging field of creativity and aging. As an educator her focus extends to transforming long-term care, lifecycle transitions, caregiving, and end of life.

She joined the National Center for Creative Aging as Senior Curriculum Director and consults for the Washington DC Area Geriatric Education Center Consortium.

Andrea is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and the Gerontological Society of America and currently serves on the Caring Commission of United Jewish Appeal and the Forum on Religion, Spirituality and Aging and LEARN leadership Council of the American Society on Aging. Recently she completed the Foundations in Buddhist Contemplative Care Program.

Marsha Weiner, MA
co-founder

Marsha is a writer, producer, and educator. She has worked with cultural institutions such as Smithsonian Institute, Colonial Williamsburg, Wildlife Conservation Society and others; and she has produced products for the mass market for companies such as Macmillan Publishing. She has been a kindergarten teacher and university instructor and is a trained non-denominational chaplain at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan.
Her blog; Cornucopia Collection, featuring books and activities to engage children in all aspects of food has recently gotten national recognition.
